Anger Management in Marriage

At some point, everyone gets angry at their spouse. It could be over something minor like leaving the cap off of the toothpaste, something on a larger scale like their disrespecting you in front of other people, or something much worse.

In marriage, the potential for anger is greater than in other relationships just by the nature of being in such close proximity to someone so often. Your husband or wife will eventually do something that gets on your nerves.

Where Do You Turn First When You Have Marriage Problems?

Everyone encounters a problem or challenge in their marriage at some point. I know we have.

But where do you seek the answers and solutions to those problems? And more importantly, where do you turn first for guidance?

Do you talk to your friends or co-workers about how bad it is? Do you ask your parents for advice? Do you seek out a counselor?

During marriage troubles, we always want someone to give us the one “silver bullet” that will turn everything around or change our spouse so they “act right”.

Big Ole List of Christian Bloggers

I recently participated in the 2007 Christian Bloggers Survey sponsored by Rick Warren’s Ministry Toolbox and Church Communications Pro. In doing so, I found out that there is a whole slew of Christian bloggers out there.

To show some support, I’ve included the list of links to the participants’ blogs below.

Be forewarned though that I don’t guarantee the content of these blogs. These were merely the participants in the survey, and I’ve only read a few of them personally so far. But if you’ve been searching for a Christian blog, surely something will strike your fancy in this list.

Don’t Leave This Out of Your New Year’s Resolutions

Another year has flown by, causing us to wonder once again, “where did the time go?”

For some, this past year was a good one, but for others, they’d rather forget it ever happened.

Unfortunately for many couples, their marriages fell into the latter category. A great deal of pain, failure, and heartache over the past year was due to problems in the marriage relationship.

Happy New Year!

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year.

This past year was a weird one for my family. Not only did I get laid off from my job early in the year, but everything in my house seemed to hit a simultaneous expiration date for working properly. My wife is washing dishes by hand as I type because our dishwasher conked out right after Thanksgiving. It’s not that big of a deal, except that it’s just part of a long list of things breaking throughout the year.

A Merry Christmas It Is

I hope everyone had as good a Christmas as we did.

My wife’s parents and my brother helped our immediate family wipe out the dressing, giblet gravy, sweet potatoes, and cajun injected turkey.

We weren’t able to see my parents for Christmas, but at least we had been able to visit them in Baton Rouge for Thanksgiving.

We have a lot to be thankful for. Most importantly, thank you God for the gift of your son Jesus Christ. Man I’m blessed!
